Information about giclees
General information: Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a term used to describe fine art prints made from a digital source and produced on a high-quality inkjet printer using archival, fade-resistant inks. Giclees of my images can be printed on canvas or museum-quality archival paper. These archival quality giclee prints will last for decades.
Depth of canvases: Images on canvas can be mounted on traditional ¾ inch stretcher bars or deeper 1 ½ inch stretcher bars. The description of each giclee lists the standard depth of the stretcher bars for that image; if you would like a different depth, please contact me to customize.
Gallery wrap and museum wrap: Images on canvas are either gallery wrap (in which the image continues around the sides) or museum wrap (in which the sides of the canvas are painted black). If you would like a different wrap than the standard listed, please contact me to customize.
Custom image size: Most of my giclee prints are the same size as the original. However, the images can be scaled down with no loss of image quality. Images can also be scaled up, up to about 2 times the original size, but for works originally on canvas, the grain of the canvas will be more apparent. If you are interested in a custom size, please let me know and we can discuss whether the image will scale appropriately.
All artwork is shipped via FedEx Ground service, unless otherwise requested. Shipping costs are not included in the price of the artwork, and vary depending on size, weight and location. I can provide you with a shipping estimate up on request.
I ship in-stock artwork within 3 days of receiving an order. For items not in stock, I will notify you of the estimated shipping date, which will depend on my giclee printer’s schedule.
